Creating and fostering a thriving ecosystem.

One farm, one shared vision.

The vision plays out in my mind, a completely sustainable, diverse and yet cohesive landscape built through the use of harnessing animal behavior to support and build the land rather than degrade and destroy it. Animals working in unison with each other to build soil mass and produce flourishing pastures, clean water, and a healthy landscape. We as the farmer or stockman must facilitate this through intentional methods that support our livestock, land, and ecosystem. It should be a symbiotic relationship, looking to nature for guidance rather than trying to make it submit to our will. We should work with it and improve it. This will not only benefit our livestock and create a healthier diet for ourselves, but also our wildlife and community.

At Born and Grazed, this is our vision. Using intentional methods that harness the power of our livestock to build a healthier landscape, planting trees and shrubs that are beneficial and diversify our animals' diets, while also being beneficial to our wildlife. In using this approach, we don’t have to rely on using harmful chemicals on our land or in our animals to support their health. We can rely on natural processes to combat these things. Creating a thriving ecosystem means everything works in unison, and everything has a job. We intend to encourage this and harness it, rather than try to force it in other ways.

We want to produce the cleanest and healthiest food possible for our household and yours. If you support this vision and believe in having the option to choose sustainably raised and clean proteins from animals who were allowed to carry out their instinctual behaviors, then follow along with us. I’d encourage you to join our emailing list as well. Let us earn your support and your business. We strive to please our customers and offer them a healthier alternative for their freezer. If you’re tired of buying mediocre pork, poultry, and eggs from the grocery store, then look no further than Born and Grazed Farming Co.
